Couldn't find the correct area for this since it's not computer related.

Basically can I use a 2 pin power adapter (plugged into UK socket) to charge a camera all the time?

The camera only has a 2 pin charger... Is there going to be any effect on the battery due to different voltages? (I know nothing about electricity here)

By "two pin" do you mean a European plug, or an American one?

Check the labelling on the charger/transformer itself to see if it will take an input voltage of 220-240v AC.

Very good question, I'm not sure, Haven't received it yet. It's in the post. So what are my options if it is 220-240v and if its not?

Well, you must have an idea what plug is on the end of the lead?

If it's from the EU, and has a European plug, then you can safely use UK mains, either through a plug adapter, or if the plug/cable is removable, by replacing the plug/cable with a UK one.

If it's from somewhere that utilises 110v (like the US), then you either need to find a UK/EU charger for the camera, or buy a 110v to 240v step-up transformer (not cheap).

No :S

Hopefully it's EU then...

If by "Classifieds" website, you mean eBay or Gumtree, just say so ;)

If it's EU, then it should be absolutely fine with an EU>UK plug adapter.
