Been running with it all day, and haven't seen the PSU fan start up at all, is this normal?

I'm hoping its just not because its gotten hot enough, but i have been running a few benchmarks and games and its not having any of it.

i am pretty sure the fan does not come on unless it needs to.
also if the fan was faulty and the psu did get to hot it would just shut down.

What are your system specs?

The Corsair fan will not start unless needed.

its the Titan 8700i pulse system with an HIS Radeon 7850.

And thank you, that must be it then, the system is brand new so i haven't used the system much, just getting used to it.

The GS700 fan starts @ 25% load (not sure if it's the same for the GS600?) But if you're running any intensive games/benchmarks I'd expect it to start spinning?

Your system will not not be stressing the PSU that much at full load.

I would roughly around 250w tops from the mains.

Mine doesn't fire up until Both graphics cards are being used playing a game. Other than that, it spins when first turned on and never again if not gaming.

Hmm I also have the GS600 but mine is always spinning, not noisy but always spinning. Ive never ever bothered to check til now.

(The sig says 6950 but running the 670 now, don't know how to edit it)

Up the top of the forum where it says 'Quick Links' drop it down and select 'Edit Signature'. :D

Aaaaah I see, thanks. As for the fan spinning or not I wouldn't worry. Seems like some peoples don't spin til a certain load yet mine is always spinning.
