Phobya 1080 Rad

Anybody know of any 200mm fans that will fit 180mm hole spacings on a phobya 180mm fan adapter plate?

The majority of 200mm fans have the standard 180mm spacing of 54mm.

You won't fit 4 x 200mm on a 1080 though, the over hang by the mounting points means the fans would clash, the only other way would be to buy two 180mm plates and have two fans at either side.

Not exactly a massive selection of 180mm fans out there in colours required.

Due to space i can't have fans both sides. :)

Cheers anyway.

I want black with blue LEDS, but black will do really, seems the Phobya are probably gonna be my choice.

Have the 1080 (45mm original version) and it performs flawlessly. It will cool pretty much anything, even with little fan assistance.

If you are going to use fans on it, cough up the extra £££'s to get a 4 x 180mm mounting plate, then if you so wish 4 x phobya g-silent 18's should only run you ~£7 per fan. You really don't want to be running 9 x 120mm, as you can imagine it'd probably deafen you.

I had a 3 component loop with the 1080 and a thick 360 (XTX) with a 2L res, all running from a single D5 at speed setting 3, that pump well push through anything :D

As is, the 60mm version is running near £60 more then the 45mm version, I'd wager the performance and quality isn't reflected in the price increase. If spending £150+ on a 1080 you should be looking at better brands IMO.

Any chance of some pics please to see how it all looks. thinking of going external too. Cheers.

Gimmie a sec, I might still have a few pictures from previous builds that used it....

From first build with a 500R, it stood completely external under my desk:

Where you get those anti-kink springs things from Paul?

I presume you had vents on the side of that case there.

I had some washers on the other side just to give it a little breathing room for pulling air.

Got the kink coils from another retailer, widely available :)

OcUK did used to sell them I'm sure, not a clue why they don't anymore.
