Berlin.

Rent a segway, much chepaer there than anywhere ive seen. Take a tour, they're really interesting about the history of the wall etc. Go and see some jazz, it's a jazz city. Then just do usual stuff of viewing the Brandenburg Tor and the Rieichstag. Also there's some cool nuclear bunkers to see, huge underground complex's built due to concern of nuclear conflict

I've got a couple of days in Berlin next week. Any suggestions on what I should go n see or do for a couple of days?

Checkpoint Charlie museum (Mauer Museum) is packed with stuff to gawk at if you're interested (all about how people lived with the Berlin Wall, attempts to to get into the West etc). Fantastic little place.

I've been to Berlin 5 times now and not once have i looked around or went to attractions.

i flew into Schönefeld airport, taxi into into town, pick up my hire car then out of the city again.

i really regret it, it looks like clean happy city, unlike the likes of Glasgow that would depress you to death.

If you can see the Reichstag on one of their guide tours. Head to the Brandenburg Gate if you want. I highly recommend it. I would also go to the fassbender und rausch chocolatier in Gendarmenmarkt. They have choc models of the titanic, Reichstag, and a volcano made of chocolate that erupts melted choc too. They also have a Schokoladen-Café at the 2nd floor that sells the best damn cakes and hot chocolate I have ever tasted (Expensive too). The fernsehturm is pretty neat.

I went to the Museumsinsel (Museum Island). Pretty neat stuff. Use the public transport as much as you can. It's far easier to get around (Especially the U-Bahn).

They have a good deal of restaurants there too including the Hard-Rock Café.

The sites around the largest standing portion of the Berlin wall have several buildings and ruins ( such as the SS HQ etc.)

Berliner Dom is also interesting to visit. Checkpoint Charlie is pretty much tacky when it comes to tourism and is always flooded with hysteric Americans. I advise to avoid if you can bear the walk away from it. It does have good information on the west/east side of the wall though.

Cold war bunkers are damn cool too, but also scary.

If you can try to learn some lingo, It comes in great hand if you don't already know some.

If you want to do the Reichstag, book in advance, I can't remember how far you would need to, but a few days at least!

Holocaust memorial / attraction beneath it.

Free walking tour, but I forgot the name, will try and find the one I went on! It was awesome, took us through a good few sites, explained all the history behind them, some awesome nazi architecture.

Brandenburg Gate.

Go up the Berliner Fernsehturm, not cheap but awesome views, especially at night!

Agreed with Anox, avoid Checkpoint Charlie, tacky!

Topography of Terror, http://www.topographie.de/en .

Will try and remember anything else I did when I spent two days there while traveling around Europe!
