New car for Mrs Jinxy

If I was buying it I'd have went black, our lease was to be the darker pearl Blue with a white roof and wheels though - didn't care as it wasn't mine.

The only pieces that feel even remotely cheap are the glove box and the seat folding catch thing, but then the car costs 1/3 less than the equivalent spec'd 118i M Sport which is the closest bmw to it, so not exactly surprising...

But then the 1 series isn't exactly up to the expected German levels of trim quality either so it evens out.

Why would you compare it to a 1 Series?
The Polo has a more solid interior with better materials IMHO. [than a DS3]

None in that context. My reply was in the context that he was on about German trim quality being much better when it isn't, even in a 3 series. I was going to add that to my post but thought people would be smart enough to understand without having to.

really? We sat in one immediately before the DS3 as the VW garage is directly opposite the the ford dealer in Northampton, and other than maybe the stereo and its display the DS3 equals and in some cases beats the Polo for quality. The seats are much better in the DS3 as is the general ambiance of the interior, where the Polo felt very plasticy.

But then you've never been that good at getting your point across clearly.
