Microsoft 2010 Upgrade To Office 2013

No, not unless you're upgrading a few machines and/or just want to be on the latest version. The new license terms make it much better value to go with the subscription to Office 365.

Unless of course you can get it at discount through work or school.

no, not with the new license terms and to be honest from what I've seen there isn't any real reason to upgrade from 2010

If you're happy with 2010 I wouldn't bother. I've been using 2013 since the beta and while I do like it but I wouldn't upgrade from 2010 just for the sake of it.

dont mention outlook either, as when it was in 2007, you got the full version, now it's a cut down version, only way to get full is either standalone or full package at silly money.

that's why i dont use office any more and use open office and others, just upgraded my m8's pc from 2010 to 2013, was very easy to do, didn't take to long as tbh not that much different either, when it came down and installed, it was already activated as well, but still wont buy another version myself, and 365 is a rip off

It's not a subscription, it's a one time install. Non transferable.

You have been warned. :)

Indeed.

This year’s regeneration of Microsoft’s Office tools will be locked to one computer. Once you’ve used your special activation password thing to activate it on one computer, that’s it. No transfers, no hard drive upgrades, no shuffling it onto the laptop.
