Hello guys, I do web design and now photography and video editing as a hobby and I have been looking at these two monitors, my question is what one would you go with?

Also play the odd game mostly Arma II wasteland nowadays so would a 680 2gb be ok?

Thanks for the links, I just don't know what one to go with.. and could a mod please move this to monitors.

Rather a one sides view when you only link to the threads knocking DGM when there have also been a fair few people who've had issues with Hazro.

These can be found easily by searching the monitor section of the forum.

There are a lot of people who are very happy with DGM: **DGM 27" LED IPS 2560x1440 ONLY £319.99 Inc. VAT (PRE-ORDER PRICE ONLY)!!**

My one sided view is that I've owned three of the DGM monitors for several months now and I've not had a problem with any of them.

The only bad thing I would say is that the stand isn't really up to much.

i haven't got one side views either, just pointing to the links that knock one make, if you look i haven't got one so didn't post, given the choice i wouldn't have either

quote " read my other links, then there will be only one option "

meant out of the 2 there is only one option, i would once posted in the right section pick a totally different monitor, like i have posted many times before in that section.

so no one sided view, if you give links / names to 2 poor monitors, there's not much to chose from tbh.

quote " I have been looking at these two monitors " my answer in section when moved will be looks elsewhere as you will get a better choice, both you have picked do have some issues here, then link to both, the more views and comments will confirm either way then posted can make his own mind up once the info has been read, atm im on the fence and say both aren't great, your for dgm so it's equal atm

I have the DGM, which I chose for the wider range of inputs available. Using displayport from my desktop, with my laptop going through HDMI when needed (mainly to watch blu-rays!) the powersupply hasn't caused any issues so far, although I've only had it a few weeks, colour virance is so good I had to turn it down a little to make things look more liflelike in game. stand is cheap, but I'll get a 3rd party one in a few months, or a wall mount arm.

I think if it had had even a single HDMI port I would have gone with the hazro though, as the 10 bit colour sounds good :)

There has been some major horror stories about the level of Hazro cistomer service that would give Freddie Krugger nightmares just do a quick search on Hazro.

The thing to watch on these value monitors is the contrast ratio is never as good as the quoted spec but in general most people who have bought the DGM have been very happy. Hazro are also a bit mean when it comes to outputs, you get 1x DVI on Hazro but the DGM you get hdmi, dvi and displayport so you do have the option of hpokkng up multiple devices to it if you wish.

It looks like DGM is the one to go with am i correct? with the DGM it has a 3year ocuk warranty making it easier if something was to go wrong.

And thanks for the responses, I truly don't have a clue about monitors lol

I've had both a Hazro and the DGM. The Hazro lasted 3 weeks. The first DGM lasted about 4 months and the second one is still going. You will find many happy Hazro owners and many happy DGM owners. If my Hazro had lasted then I would have been recommending here. Unfortunately it didn't, so my vote goes to DGM.
I use it for gaming and web browsing. The DGM is supposed to suffer from a bit more input lag than the Hazro but I can't say that I've noticed any. Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim all perform very nicely and look fantastic.

now it's been moved to the correct place, for me i wouldn't have either, go for something like this,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-086-IY&groupid=17&catid=1120&subcat=

yes lower Resolution than both of your's, but so much better in many other ways

and if you don;t like it and must have a larger Resolution, then pay more and get something that will work more and last a bit longer, and not saying either of your choices are bad either, as had neither myself, just seen the posts here what others think that have bought them, why risk it, not on price alone, i wouldn't, but maybe you would, good luck either way, hope links helped make you choice a bit easier....

Well really, it'd be better to just get one of those Korean monitors for half the price, 27" at 2560x1440.

That panel you linked is a TN panel, which isn't great for photo and video production, which is why people go for IPS ones.

The DGM with a 3 year warranty. I was skeptical that for £299 i'd not get anything near the quality of my old NEC 20WGX2 .... but the picture quality is fantastic.

I'm using it with a Radeon 7950 and it manages just fine in games but i don't know how the radeon compares to a 680 2gb .....

A 7950 at 2560x1440 gives better performance than a 680 in most stuff.

Thanks guys ill get the DGM, i got the 680 as i needed cuda but it looks like i should be able to play games at the higher rez, i plan on a second 680 shortly and going by reviews that should help nicely.

I just bought the Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27" Widescreen LED Monitor, hopefully it is the better pick over the DGM and the Hazro.

I had the Hazro but the warranty scares me so I just bought the Dellu2713HM. More ports,a better stand and if anything goes wrong a swap on your doorstep the next day. I have yet to see the anti glare but they say its not as aggressive as the u2711. I only ordered it at 4pm so I will post my opinion of it tomorrow. For that prive though it seems the best you can get.

Yeh, I bought the Dell u2713HM as well on Tuesday, I love it! the image quality is amazing and have no issues at all in games (maxed out with a 680) the thought of buying a monitor that people have issues with didn't sit right with me.
