*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

Ended up selling my entire La Liga team tonight, as I had them in the exact same formation as my Serie A side, and they just didn't perform as well, despite being better as far as the stats go. Ended up making a profit on them all as well, so not going to complain at that. Have roughly 750k coins now, and wondering what to do with it. If I were better at trading I'd try and see how much I could make, but I seem to be a bit hit and miss with it. Considering buying the IF versions of the players I already have in my two main teams, though that probably wouldn't leave me with a whole lot of coins left afterwards. Hmm, decisions decisions.

Its not always about the better rated players, workrates & mental stats play into things a LOT, I've had 4-5 4321 teams and they have all played so differently, usually down to the players workrates & mental play differences.

Yup, very much agree with this. It was the 2nd time I've tried a La Liga team, and the last one didn't work either (tried in 4-1-2-1-2, which was my initial favourite formation). I think I'll probably stay away from La Liga completely now, unless I end up pulling a Messi or Ronaldo in a pack, and even then I'll likely just end up hybriding them in to a team (a front 3 of Messi-Lavezzi-Di Maria would be lovely!).

I really wish it was :( Had Lavezzi - Messi - IF Di Maria and it was horrible :( Just nothing seemed to happen! Swapping out Di Maria & Messi for Menez & Ibra rectified so much! Menez is fantastic and Lavezzi is just a god, still!
I've been tempted to try Ibra for a while, but my worry with someone so expensive is that if I don't get on with him, I'll end up making a decent sized loss when I sell him on because of the stupid EA tax (especially if I end up building a team around him).

I do already have Lavezzi and Menez as LM and RM in my Ligue 1 4-1-2-1-2 team, and Lavezzi certainly is awesome. Menez has never really shone for me, but he's never been poor either. Remy is the star of that team, so quick and powerful, scores most of the goals easily.

Picked up a Ribery for 785k on PS3 :D I was just casually browsing for a Ribery all of them about 800k - 900k no matter what position/formation. Then I was looking at LM versions and I saw 785k BO. I smashed my mouse button and won it :D Just need to get some convert cards to make him LF and a 4321 form card.

Looking forward to playing tonight. So much for my "break" lol. This is going to be fun though, Ribery (LF) - Reus (ST) - Robben (RF). Oh yea some sweating is going to happen !

LOL you do realise that 785k isnt that cheap for Ribery, its just that for some reason since the transfers and UPs the markets just hit a high - in a couple of weeks he will have gone cheaper again...

Hell checking his historical pricing his average price over the last two weeks is 725k. I suggest you follow the market a bit longer for big purchases as its more than likely you just see lots of overvalued auctions in the hope someone mistakenly buys them whereas the real value of the player is far less. You probably wont lose that much (Id say hes worth just under 750k), just dont weigh short term valuations as much and work off trends...

Aye I know I was looking at his older prices, but I wanted him for my team :p I had all other players I just needed a Ribery. So I thought sod it and 785k isn't too bad. I plan to keep this team I loved it when I had Schurrle on the LF, fact it was my most successful team. So I decided to remake it with Ribery in it. So as long as I enjoy the 785k will be well spent :D

Fair play, though if I were you, Id keep an eye on the market as when it does fall (which we are still waiting for - should have happened if last few years are to go by) it will be those big name players first. He wont drop massively but something like 500k doesnt sound that ambitious to drop to, feels a lot more when you own him though! Still amazing to think he was 50k last year :p

Personally I always try to buy 2 of someone, 1 to keep and 1 to sell to offset the price I paid - just makes that initial price even sweeter.

Lavezzi I never found that special really, one of those players who seemed not particularly quick and pretty damn weak.

He's no Jarvis.

Whaaat! He's incredibly pacey and seems to batter through challenges!

You need to go 5back and put TOTYs in, amateur!

Can some one spec me a team. Rage sold my BPL team the other night, think it was the formation I couldnt get on with (4312).

Was thinking Argentine 41212:

remy ------ IF Milito
Pastore
Lavezzi ---------- Di Maria
Cambiasso
IF Maxwell-IF colocini-IF Walters-Abate
Cech

300k to spend.

Ahhh Remy, Maxwell, Cech, Abate, the famous Argentinians :D

Go 352

------------- Romero ------------------
IF Campagnao - IF Colocini - Mascherano
------ Cambiasso ---- Zanetti ----------
-- Di Maria ----- Pastore ----- Lavezzi --
------- Aguero -------- IF Milito --------
