US: The Following

I'm enjoying it, but I'm already somewhat bored of the police/FBI being caught off-guard whilst in someone's home. It's happened four times already and we're only three episodes in. They know who and what they're dealing with, you'd think they'd be more cautious as a result.

Yes, if they continue down this route, where yet another member of the "cult" is revealed in a similar fashion, then I doubt I'll continue watching. Becoming a bit tiresome.

Finding this show inintentionally hilarious. Only thing that is saving it for me is the bad guy. The FBI seem completly inept. And unfortunately, I could spot that 'twist' as soon as that woman appeared. I really hope there is not a mole (like in 24 when there was ALWAYS a mole in CTU).

There'll be a mole. It's obviously going to happen.

How about the FBI lady? The 'cult' expert... there was that weird scene where she bought the poetry book into the prison in 'semi-secret'...

Yeah i got a bit confused at that. I was only half watching that episode and thought she was one of his cultists, then watched the latest episode and wondered whether i'd imagined it.

This show is awful.

Gave the first 3 episodes a go but I just cant get past the weak acting and terrible writing.

What's even weirder is that when she interviewed Carroll, he quite clearly said 'thanks for the book', yet Hardy hasn't even bothered to ask her what Carroll meant by that.

The show is entertaining but extremely predictable at the moment; as soon as Rick's wife was introduced it was obvious that she was part of the cult, and the constant thing of the FBI being caught off-guard and underestimating people is getting really tired really fast.

I think the FBI lady is involved with the cult she is playing the part of FBI expert because this is what she has been told to do

I dunno, seems a bit too obvious. The scene with the book felt like it was trying to lure the viewer into thinking she's suspicious, when actually she's probably not.

I think it's rather good so far, it's only a couple of episodes in and has many directions to take. Plus there's not much else on at the moment, barring Spiral.

Just watched the latest episode and I do think its getting worse. I was genuinely looking forward to this show due to the actors involved and the 'horror' aspect but have been disappointed most episodes.

The main problem is the horror part. There's no horror. There are some gory scenes but i've not found one of the MANY 'killer in the house, where are they?!' moments suspenseful simply because any suspense is immediately turned to frustration due to the situation requiring someone to do something stupid.

I know I will keep watching, mainly because its well made and i'm a big fan of James Purefoy but it is a very medicore show and does seem to be getting more generic as it goes along.

Agree completely. There is predictable, and then there is this, the writing is getting sloppier and sloppier. I'm losing interest rapidly.

Don't get me wrong I can handle predictable, I still watch Castle weekly and that is very by the numbers but the actors and humour still allow me to enjoy it despite the odd cringeworthy moment.

This show just makes me angry :p

I'm inclined to agree also, considering it looked like it'd be a dark, gritty drama it's become very run-of-the-mill, with stupid predictable 'twists' and frankly ridiculous things happening at times. The whole thing with the lawyer 'passing on a message' was obvious a mile away and there's no way in hell they'd have ever let her walk in and speak to a witness/victim. Then Claire's sudden decision to ignore everything the FBI are doing for her and pull a cliched "sneak away to the bathroom during lunch" move which the agents don't even see coming despite knowing she was up to something.

I'll keep watching it hopeful that they can bring it back on track, but as it stands it's just getting quite silly now. This sort of absurd plot would work for a film (and has many times, I'm sure) but for a series, it quickly falls apart.
