7850 oced vs 660 oced

Overclocking is not detrimental unless you add silly volts which the card cannot handle. Are you suggesting overclocking a CPU is detrimental? Because it isnt, Intel have already expressed that your fine to overclock provided you don't put silly volts through it.

Yes because the cooler wont change how many volts the PCB can handle just how quickly (airflow dependant) it can get rid of the excess heat.

You only just suggested overclocking is detrimental to a GPU but are now saying its fine under water...

If it can kill your card it is detrimental. The only difference is that a big whack will kill it much sooner.

Are you sure? If you wc the same card what will happen with the volts it can handle?

You are contradicting yourself here. Aren't you saying that heat will determine in a degree how many volts you can feed the PCB?

Im sorry but just read the above you posted... And your saying im contradicting myself? *insert planet sized facepalm here*

If you push too many volts through a PCB which can't handle it then you have issues with raising the volts too high. The heat is a side effect of having high volts and thus you need a good airflow / cooler to get rid of the heat.

Having low volts means fairly low temps, and you dont need high volts to get a 7850 to increase stock speeds by 30%.

Ok lets make it simple for you.
If the fan of your card fails will you run into any problems or not? Remember you are still using default volts - no increases, nothing.

If your running at load then ofc because the heat will build up within the PCB. That has nothing to do with voltage though. So at this point I dont know where your arguement is going
