i bought the digital collectors pack of steam a few years back best £10 i ever spent. got £10 of riot pts free
 
I am gonna get a champion pack when i get paid, is there one which has better champs than another ?

I'm thinking the exact same, have been for a couple of days. The Digital collectors pack looks the best though i do have 7 of the champions already. But even so it still looks worth it, and you get cashback.
 
Thing is the ip takes a fair length of time to build up and if you want someone fairly expensive your talking weeks to get a single hero. Was just thinking this way you get a fair old variety to try out and then keep your ip for the runes at lv20. Not agree i take it?
 
All depends if you want to spend real money or not I guess.
Only real money I spent was on the rune page book. When I hit lv 30, if I remember correctly I owned less than 5 champs for sure.
Now 2+ years later I own about 15?

lol, ive also been playing for 2+ years...

only owned 41 champs..
its more of how you play each one...
out of all them i play like 4 champs...
the rest are just useless to me, since i can't play them

i have garen which i haven't ever played LOL.
i got it because it was cheap, :D

I've actually posted this numerous times in this thread :p

First purchase -> Last, assuming 3 rune pages (which you should have by default, but it's based on your account age aswell).

Flat Armor Yellows - Every page you have will use these
Flat MR Blues - Every page you have will use these
AD Reds - Every page you have *can* use these
MS Quints - Every page you have *can* use these

MPen Reds - You'll generally want these on one rune page which will now be your dedicated AP page, use MS Quints and the AD reds will be fine until you finish a set of these. This will most likely end up rotating in as your Support page too
AD Quints - Stick these on your other rune page with AD reds. This is now your dedicated Bruiser and ADC page.
AS Reds - Finish your 3rd page off with these (you should have MS quints aswell). This will be your dedicated jungle page if you ever plan on jungling, otherwise keep the AD and MS combination as a 3rd optional page.

Hurray! You can now play any role in the game after minimal investment. Are there more strict, weird or champion dedicated pages you can build? Sure, but you'll learn that in time and will want these 3 pages active at all times regardless. Each rune page will cost you between 12-14k IP, this lets you fill up everything with ~22k IP investment ... You've been saving that IP since lvl 20 right? :D

IP is pretty much worthless, you can generally make 6k in two weeks easily if you ensure to get your "First Win of the Day" in addition to your normal playing. I have 2 years on the account I use now and have enough IP to buy everything on release and never even worry about it (running like an 18k surplus right now, after going on a random rune binge and buying everything I didn't own already).
 
I hate when you save over 10K only to spend it on two champs. feels so bad having 0IP again and realising how many games you need to play to get back up :( I still dont have all the 1350 champs lol.
 
Best game since i started playing lol. Was pretty epic for a low level match, probably loads of mistakes but ended up with 37/6/8 with Ashe.
 
So I'm still relatively new to the game, and some help would be appreciated.
I'm currently using the website LoLPro for each champion I'm picking to see what they're doing and what they should be buying and when to buy these items. So far my favourite champ is Tristana, only played 3 games with her and went 7/0/7, 10/0/4, and 15/7/14. Really enjoyable champ imo.
I've only really played AD and AP "carry" champions atm, thinking about trying to jungle or tank soon though.
Could anyone recommend some more good AD/AP champions for either mid/top/bot, and maybe some junglers/tanks. I'm saving my IP up, have 1.7k atm.
