Gigabyte GTX670 Windforce 2gb & 4gb SLI?

Hi all

Just a quick question about SLI. I know that both cards in SLI have to be the same but is it possible to SLI a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 670 2GB model with a 4GB model?

I think you can, but it may just run at 2gb across both cards.

So as I have a 2GB model best I stick with another of the same then......

Best to add another 2gb card to ensure compatibility. There was a hack a while back for running cards with different vram amounts. Not sure if it still works though.

I don't think SLI has changed, in that you have to SLI using the same memory cards. 2GB with 2GB etc.
I'm sure someone would correct me if i'm wrong.

Coolbits allows this (I thought support had finished years ago but apparently not). It is still better to have two card the same memory but it will downgrade the 4GB card to a 2GB card and leave you with 2GB usable

I'm pretty sure you got to run 2 cards the same mem size so 2gb with another 2gb.
