Chnaging from gtx 8800 to 7850 HD

Took out new ram, deleted catalyst, used driver sweeper and installed it again - no change… will try the last step now.

P.s. gpu is detected by windows and says that I have the latest drivers for it…

Fixed the problem by unistalling 3DMark ?_? WTF?! How is that even connected? Maybe that was the coincidence, but it seems to be working now (at least managed to run MW3).
RivaTuner was reinstalled again and it seems to be useless, I cant even view my GPU temperature and it seems that it detects 6 difference default monitors (all 7850).
Still have to put new ram in and overclock my CPU back to normal and run 3DMark test.

Can you recommend what should I do with RivaTuner? Kind of used to see GPU temp all the time.

I assume you've made sure the new card is fully seated in the PCI-E slot? :)

I did, when removed new ram, but nothing helped until reinstalled 3DMark.

As for CPU-Z - it doesnt show me anything on GPU (just double checked now), I was using it all the time for CPU overclock, but it is useless for GPU for some reason. Just writen what GPU I am using and that's it... everything else is blank. Will try to reinstall it again.

P.S. Installed new ram - everything seems smooth, apart from the fact that timings are 6-6-6-18 apparently, instead of 5-5-5-18 :(

I would worry too much about the ram, in gaming I doubt that would even make 1% performance difference.

I guess you don't have a spare drive to do a clean install for testing, which is what I'd do to try to rule in or out a software/driver issue. Aka if it works then you would know it's a software/driver problem.

lol that is weird, perhaps 3DMark had an idle process in the back putting heavy load on your GPU, causing color artifacts with the heat? No idea, stupid assessment but hey, it's working now right?! :D

EDIT: Welcome to the world of 7850 :p
