The issue is with the software not the hardware
the drivers are bloody annoying...


my issue is this i got the card yesterday and im already wanting to tair my hair out
i cant get the dolbytheatre v4 to install properly.

I tryed the drivers of the cd and the latest beta drivers and one issue arises and well the picture shows. Everytime i try to get into the dolby settings this happens.

I have tryed everything i can think of, i dont even know what software needs updated to match the driver
i have checked and uninstalled onboard drivers and azuntech prelude drivers then fresh install but it still pops up this annoying driver missmatch error.

if i cant sort this its going back for a refund or exchange with something else.

Simply uninstall the drivers completely reboot and install the RC3.08 Beta drivers so that the cards firmware gets updated and newer drivers seems to fix it.... but the drivers can only be obtained on there ROG forums, its not on there main site yet.

I'm actually at a slight dilemma. I am looking into buying a new 5.1 analog compatible sound card and I think it has really come down to the Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus or the Asus Xonar D2X. The Phoebus is obviously the more expensive card, but is the extra cost worth it? I went from a X Fi XtremeMusic sound card, to on board sound (New motherboard does not support my old sound card). I mainly use a set of 5.1 speakers and occasionally use my headset when playing with friends.
