Evening all,

Got my beautiful 2003 A3 TDi yesterday, it's fantastic.

Just a quick question, I'd like to put a TDi badge on it, but what kind of adhesive do you need to use to make sure it stays on??

Cheers,
dirtychinchilla

Leave it without a TDI badge. Not sure why you'd want to put one back on?

Why would you fit a second hand TDI badge to your A3? I can't imagine this is going to end up looking like it did when it was new. If you MUST do it, buy a new one - it'll come with the right fixing so that it wont look like somebody stuck a badge from Ebay on the back.

Hahaha fairly damning statement there Fox, giving me something to think about. I don't know why it hasn't got one on it already tbh

Lots of people remove the badges on lower models for obvious reasons, errr I mean because it looks 'cleaner' :p

I probably wouldnt bother removing it if it was already there but now its gone, I wouldnt go to the trouble of putting it back on.

Surely the fact it's a diesel is not something you want to proclaim to the world. Why not just get herpes tattooed on your forehead?

:D

Its not like you need to tell people anyway, they'll hear you tractoring along :p

I'm sure Audi will procure you a new badge for a nominal fee if you really want one though ;)

Thanks for everyone's replies. It turns out that I've been stupid; the car already has all the badges on, and I'm unlikely to remove them.

I have not considered a turbo badge on each panel but will do so.

I'm very glad it's a diesel, Minstadave. They're substantially more efficient than the petrol A3s.

There are lots of people in the M135i forums who have removed the badge because they like the sleeper effect. I will just never understand this obsession with wanting to change/add/remove badges.

Anyone who is obsessed with cars enough to care will know exactly what model it is from other visual/aural cues.

Ask this fella, he seems to know how to do it :)
