Equal treatment with all the other regions? A proper integrated (at OS level) party and invite system, party chat, cross game chat?
Better uptime (for me at least, never had downtime since Xmas 2008), faster servers (patching on my now sold 360 was much quicker then in my now also sold ps3 - never obtained the same DL speed.
I could go on, PSN was a tacked on experience (probably caught out by Live's integration at the 360 reveal ) and it showed. Hopefully PS4 fixes things
What poor treatment has PS EU got? I personally can't remember any I had.

Download speeds for me are both a joke compared to my

The only thing thing live has over psn for me is the ability to play with your friends easily, which to be fair is one of, if not the most important thing.

I'd expect the quality to be better.
Can't say I've noticed patches/DLC weeks after JP and US and the only demos I ever get are madden/fifa which are usually out earlier on 360 anyways aren't they?
Who is your provider?
My xbox and PS are both snail pace, whilst I can download off steam at 14mb/s =/
I'm sure it will improve, they bleated on with buzzwords about that social crap for long enough for last night, but basically as long as I can play with friends/communicate with them easily I'll be happy.
Microsoft own Skype now don't they and plan on integrating it? That's like really good, maybe Sony could hit a deal with RaidCall or something to at least have cross platform chat.
Also Sony choosing Ustream as their streaming platform is terrible.
The alternative is ads and Kinect games...
I dunno, I dont like where Microsoft is going with Ballmer, I hope they fire the guy.
I've been using the PS3 a lot more than my 360 lately. Used to get crappy dl speeds but its been pretty fast of late. I prefer the layout of the store too when compared to xbl. I'd happily pay a yearly sub to use the ps4 features - especially if they continue with something similar to the current setup.

Dlc etc on Xbox is normally out earlier because of Microsoft selling themself to developers (Mw3 for example) in an attempt to stem the slide to ps3. IMO Xbox 360 was a better designed concept from the outset and live is what ps3 should have started with. The fact is with no more Halo less people saw the need to chose between systems, a lot of people went with the ps3 because of the free psn (even if it was worse).
If Sony integrate psn better and make it a smoother user experience together with exclusives such as those games shown at ps4 launch, surely price is the deciding factor. Keep it free they will steal the market, make basic online gaming sold at a 'premium' and you have got yourself a Microsoft convert right here.
I hated those 3 months that psn was down. Although I agree that they had to go in and fix it properly, I can't help but think that if it had been designed properly in the first place rather than tacked on, hackers wouldn't have been able to exploit it as far as they did and it would have been quicker to fix. And before the flame war commences I have never owned a Microsoft product and have had every playstation since the ps1
