WHAT?!

I knew online gambling was bad, but i didnt realise it was THAT bad!:eek:

It isn't that bad, that isn't £960 individual pounds, if you deposit £10, place £1 bets, on blackjack you win almost as often as you lose, you can have a £10 stake and bet it over, and over and over.

This is how the bonus schemes worked, you'd put in £100, get a matched bonus or hopefully 200-300%, sit there playing blackjack sensibly, you would have say £400 total inc bonus, bet £5 a time over and over, you'd say win 48% of the time, lose 52% of the time, hit some blackjacks which pay back more obviously, essentially you can bet that £400 hundreds of times and only lose £50, then you withdraw £350 and have made a £250 profit.

Loads of people did this, I made a few grand off it but started doing it fairly late where it was tediously boring and less good matched bonuses.

It was well worth doing, probably not now, the terms are always pretty clear, and frankly not expecting a catch when they offer to give you 3x what you deposited is delusional.

Also Guile, lots of people, huge numbers, made thousands off the bonus schemes that online casinos ran. There is nothing stupid about gambling in casinos, you just have to know when the odd ARE in your favour.

All games in a casino give the house the advantage, but factor in the house advantage, blackjack odds and the bonus amount/betting required and for many years the advantage was without question with the gambler, usually by a very big margin.

The whole "you should really read the terms and conditions" excuse is largely bs. Nobody has the time to read and understand all the terms and conditions of every service that they use, the only reason this is not a much bigger problem is most services value having customers over a longer term.

Nobody in their right mind would agree to sign up for a free £32 knowing they need to send spend near a grand. At that scale, the house always wins pretty much will always come into play.

If you don't read the t&c's on a "sounds too good to be true, apparently free money offer", then you don't deserve to keep your money.

So you sign up for an insurance, get lowest rate, don't get renewal notice, get charged at twice the previous rate, then get stung on cancellation fees. People deserve this? I disagree, I don't think anyone deserves to be raped by hidden fees, but thats just me. Especially so when it can be easily legislated away.

Don't get me wrong, I always read the t&c of insurances companies because I know they're robbing ********, but it's a real shame the problem exists because people like you think it's a fair way to do business. By any chance, is this how you make your money? :)

Me: "Do-able".. Scarlett Johansson is do-able

Me: OCUK will be hearing about this, and I'm sure will be most displeased.

Me: I dont like you Scott.

Scott: I am sorry Richard. this is the companys terms and conditions as previously shown

Me: *Companies.

Scott disconnected from chat.

Never go full retard, bro :D

Errr no. I have a proper job. It is inexcusable to think that someone is going to give you 32quid if you give them 10. Only the most retarded of retards would not read the ts and cs on that.

Well this backfired on OP terribly. Playing roulette online lol, you may as well just walk down your local bookies and feed the machine your cash. I wouldn't even play poker online anymore as I'm sure that can be fixed as well.

I work in the online gaming industry. Go back to their live chat and ask if the Bonus has a life span. Usually they are only active for say up to 30 days, so if you've had a big win, don't bet anymore then just let the Bonus expire. At this point the Bonus will be removed and you'll be able to withdraw any remaining winnings. :) Hope that helps.

Edit - But yes this is completely standard to have a wagering requirement and not to be able to withdraw until Bonus funds are no longer active.

Thank you for telling us about this. I have passed it onto my executive director so he can be involved in this serious online matter. Thread locked.
