Kind of morbid I know, but I really like films about end of the world or apocalyptic events. More so the events afterwards like survival and the rebuilding of mankind and society. I think I like the idea of everything going back to basics.

There are a few films like this that I really like but I want to see more. One's I like:

The Book of Eli
The Road
I am Legend

Can anyone recommend any others?

Day of the Dead - The original version from 1985(?).
Monsters (2010) - Average film.
Carriers (2009) - Same as above.
Night of the Comet

Deep Impact is a good call.

What I liked especially about this film was
that even though it was typical american ****e, (anyone lol at twin towers), they still had a bit of asteroid **** **** up rather than it being a completely scratch free endeavour.
Oh and the idea that people would still man their jobs with the ****ing president saying "oh noes we're all going to die" is just ******.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Divide is the other one I wanted to link in my OP but couldn't remember the name :)

Seen Deep Impact many times, and although its good it doesn't really have a lot going on after the event. Its more about leading up to it.

I'll check out the others mentioned.
