Attaching badges to car

You may as well remove the Audi badges too. Everyone will know from the fact that you're 6 inches from their back bumper flashing your lights, and they'll know it's a diesel from the cloud of stinking black smoke as you overtake and cut back in 6 inches from their front bumper.

if you want to go down the road of refitting a badge to the car speak to your dealer, they are not dear and you are going to get a genuine part that will come with the appropriate double sided tape already applied to the badge. peel off the paper press it into place firmly, jobs a goodun.

There are lots of people in the M135i forums who have removed the badge because they like the sleeper effect. I will just never understand this obsession with wanting to change/add/remove badges.

Anyone who is obsessed with cars enough to care will know exactly what model it is from other visual/aural cues.

Maybe they are doing it for their own aesthetic pleasures?

true, most manufacturers let you spec a new car with no badges these days if that's your thing. personally I prefer the debadged look as vehicle dependant it gives for a smoother look

My friend at work has had her carrera 4s debadged by the dealer, she done it because she didn't like the clutter of badges. I don't think she done it out of shame of her choice of car.

indeed, who would want to admit to owning a Carrera 4s :)

tbh if I could afford a tasty Porsche I would have PORSCHE down both flanks in foot high letters in the lariest colour I could find. :) some people are just very proud of their cars even if it happens to be a 1.4s mk3 astra

I can understand the debadging mentality with boggo poverty spec motors, especially in this country where people are obsessed with plate numbers and car specs.

I debadge all my cars, main reason being that its difficult to clean inside the letters and then it just ends up looking like crap.

If you do want to attach them then I would recommend Sikaflex 221. It holds well and can be removed if required and polished out.

I use it on the Alfa to re-attach side skirts when they warp with age. I have used it on badges as well.

You can pick it up for about £5-7.
