Too lazy to defend your own argument? I'm not addicted to soft drinks, i mostly drink tea and water, I am just against know it all conspiracy theorists speading their propeganda like it's fact.
Saying Aspartame has been proven safe is factually incorrect, its been, in several studies, if you believe them(seriously the FDA is a completely ridiculous organisation, I'm not saying conspiracy theory, just they get stuff wrong ALL the time and almost any study for ANYTHING is backed by the company who makes it or company's who make an opposing product), has been proven to not cause certain problems and relatively quickly.
IE a study that says it doesn't cause cancer, doesn't in any way disprove that it makes your concentraction work, or a dozen other things.
Studies on drugs are alway, and I mean ALWAYS incomplete, no study for any drug in the world has been carried out over decades with 10k's of people to look for things like decrease concentration, sleep problems, causing cancer, causing breathing problems or anything else. I am i no way saying aspartame causes any of these, I'm saying studies people do to be deemed safe for human consumption are absolutely no where near complete and claiming aspatame is proven safe is completely incorrect.
Thousands of products have been proven safe in exactly the same way, and years or decades later found to be the cause for some condition or problem, the FDA is absolutely and entirely flawed, most food safety/health organisations are flawed in limited budgets and only looking for the big and obvious issues products cause.
THe problem these days with the internet, the money invovled in such products is, studies run by the company's themselves are inherantly biased, studies run by the FDA are usually under political pressure, incomplete and often rushed, and studies run by opposing groups often find the wackiest conspiracy theory nut to run them and claim them as independant. Half of everything you read on the internet is complete rubbish and there is no sensible way to sift between the BS.
All I know is, when I'm drinking diet coke, I sleep worse, I feel worse, and I feel better when I don't drink it, but its addictive as ****. In my case its not helped by serious migraines anyway, which means the "come down" from diet coke/caffeine is almost unbearable. Also annecdotal evidence has a ridiculous number of people who quit diet soft drinks feeling generally healthier and better.
Its also clearly addictive outside of the caffeine(something in diet coke, not necessarily aspartame) as if I stop drinking coke but replace the caffeine source, I can still feel bad unless I have a little diet coke.
