To win with only 20% possession is insane, what defending and thank god we stepped it up in the 2nd half.

Those missed kicks costs Ireland the game!

Awesome defence from Scotland to win that and good reliable kicking from Laidlaw. I feel like Ireland are slightly hard done by there going on possession and chances but I don't much care, I'll take back to back wins however they come. I kept hoping the whistle would go as soon as the clock went red but it didn't quite work out like that.

Big Jim Hamilton put in a great performance and worked well at disrupting the Irish lineout which just wasn't really working in the first half at all. No idea why he was about to take someones head off at the Irish try though, I didn't see anything particularly wrong with what the Irish were doing there?

All I can say is YYYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Well deserved win for Scotland and the most intense 10 mins of Rugby I've ever watched!

I don't know what on earth Keith Earls was doing not giving that pass to BOD. He seems to hog the ball a lot - instead he attempts offloads when its far too late.

I've always had the impression that the two really don't get on. Fair play to Scotland, rode their luck at times but also took their kicks well.

I'm sorry but were you watching the same game? I'm happy Scotland won (for the lone reason that I work with some Irish who will be very annoyed and its good for banter) but you defended well and got lucky with pens, like normal you showed no real chances of scoring tries.

Your set piece and defence was good but at international level that should be the minimum of what you should be doing.

Lets see how you do against the Welsh and French shall we.

I'm expecting a loss to Wales but hopefully a good game and quietly confident we can beat France.

They'll be getting a *******ing for not playing the ball as even the coach admitted we should have played better. We were somewhat lucky we won, the 2nd half was much more positive as they actually made some ground rather than being on permanent defense as we were in the first half.

They need to stop kicking the ball away, fair enough if deep in your own territory clear it but Scotland were guilty of kicking it away when close to the halfway line rather than trying to run the ball.

If the french maintain/improve on the good points they had against us then you will struggle, IMO.

We need to up our game against Wales for the grand slam.

@Manu's ear being ripped off! This was ridiculous, the guy looked pale the entire match but showed up with 110% effort. Good on him!

Yep, was great to see the commitment.

Still trying to work out how the Irish didn't put the Scot's away last week.

Hopefully they can beat the French in 2 weeks, would be great to see Les Bleu with the wooden spoon...
