I did my 50 mile reliability ride today

and becuase only 20 people turned up we all went in one group (which i thought was too much for the road) but sadly it was FAST, ended up doing it all myslf, and i did it in 3hours 30

Endemondo is saying 3 new records
- 10 miles @ 33mins
- 20 K @ 42 mins
- 50 miles @ 3h20

nice work, you have a pretty low cadence there though!

Yep good luck chaps. Still mighty cold out there too.

I feel absolutely terrible today! Aching all over, and I have to look forward to a two hour drive in my super comfy ( haha yeh right!) Lotus soon :(

Lucky sod! I've got my usual 27m round trip commute in the morning...
Massive kudos for the 150m ride though.

The strava upload from todays sportive. Quality day out and met some great people!

Well done mate. We'll have to hook up for a ride sometime.

Here's my ride for today. 100m completed! :D

The cold weather really didn't help and I didn't end up going down to Mow Cop due to my mate flaking out last minute leaving me to do it solo. Probably for the best really. Trying to climb a hill like that at the half way point of my first ever century was probably a bit ambitious...

Edit: Just realised Minty, you were probably one of the 50 billion cyclists I saw riding past around High Legh/Knutsford. If you saw a guy in a black Altura team jersey with dayglow yellow sleeves (had the short sleeved black Altura one over the top of my long sleeved yellow one) and a camera on his head going the opposite way, that was me :)

Great effort that Damian, about an hour quicker than me and with a bit more climbing too. :D Well done.

Cheers. Knackered now though and my neck's killing me... I've just had a nutritious post ride refuel consisting of a protein shake, bottle of lucozade and 6 of these (@260kcal each). Omnomnom cookies :D

Edit: You not uploaded yours to strava yet? I can't find it.

Rode 170km today in 7hr 12mins, got home and looked at my Garmin and then data was there. Just got it off the bike to upload and it's lost my ****ing ride. :(

So there we have it. At least the friend I rode with got his challenge badge.

I spent £100 on a second hand Garmin 705 and it does everything (useful) that the 800 and 810 do. They come up on eBay and the BikeRadar forums from time to time.

Just ignore the bit above about it losing my ride randomly yesterday. :p

What do you want it to do?
The Edge 200 will do all the basics: recording where you have been, distance, speed, time and costs <£100.
If you want something with maps/navigation, that will cost a lot more.

Only managed 25 miles today; shame as it was a gorgeous day. Feeling a bit under the weather and my nose spontaneously started bleeding as I climbed out of town. Thought that was a good time to loop back and head for home!

Well done to all who went out and did 100mi today! V impressed...

At the moment, I can only dream of ever completing that distance!!

Glad I've had a few days off bike though these past few days as my legs feel 'normal' again :)

Might go out tomorrow, if it's a bit warmer, as I have the day off (yes, lucky me!).
