Just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 tablet and I'm a complete newb to anything Android.

The P.C. is running widows 7.

I've probably got a thousand questions I could ask on this subject, but I will start with the basics.

1) Which is the best way to transfer files between the tablet and the P.C via wifi (through router)?

2) Which is the best way to stream movies from P.C. to the tablet?

Did a Google search on this, but a lot of the links seem to be out of date.

TIA for any advice.

transferring files, use airdroid

I think I've seen that mentioned before along with es file explorer.

Not sure if one only reads from P.C.
or enables copying/transfer between P.C. and tablet.

If you have experience of both, which would you recommend?

Or is there something newer?

airdroid just means you can do all your file transfer stuff in a web browser, so you need to be sat at your pc to do it.

estrongs will allow you to browse you pc from your tablet

I use Airdroid as well for wireless transferring of files.

Because I'm at the PC at a lot though, I just find it easier to plug it in by USB and it shows up as a drive letter like with cameras. It even has the same folder for any photos taken on the cameraphone, called DCIM, that digicams use too.

Thanks, I would like the options to do it both ways, I will check out both airdroid and astrongs.

Do I need to enable any sharing options at either end?
