Still undecided on what waterblocks to get for my GPU and CPU. Was leaning towards the EK ones, but to be honest I don't like the astheitics. EK seem to have a circle fetish with all their new blocks they have released.

Has anyone had any experience with these heatkiller blocks and have any tales to share like were they easy to fit, performance compared to other blocks, fittings etc. I am using 1/2 inch tubing and compression fittings in case that helps.

I don't know about Watercool's (manufacturer of heatkiller) CPU blocks, but their GPU full cover blocks are amongst the best in the business :)

If anyone is looking at EK CPU blocks, I'd sit tight, non-CSQ Supremacy blocks are almost certain to happen soon.

I've recently bought a Heatkiller GPU block and can honestly say I wouldn't buy anything else now and I've not even fitted it yet.
Build quality is 100% better than my old EK and the block is about 1/2 the thickness.
Fitting looks pretty straightforward (same as most to be honest).

Bundymania has a decent post reviewing many of the 7970 options here on these forums: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18402084

The Watercools come out top on cooling performance in his review.

Edit: The Heatkiller CPU block is a few years old now and there are newer blocks with better performance. (Copper Raystorms are popular right now)

I know the Heatkiller CPU blocks have been around for a while, performance wise are they still in the same ballpark as the new blocks. Personally I don't like the raystorm style and I am not a big fan of XSPC.

Asthetically I wanted to go for matching CPU/GPU although I guess I can sacrfice that if the CPU block really isn't up to task.

Got the 680 version (Bl-Ni hole) and its a piece of art, looks amazing in my setup, also the temps are amazing, got my 670 FTW at full chat and maxes out at 38deg after a days playing, very highly recommended, especially with the backplate, really helps keep the card from bending and helps temps too :)

On socket 2011 testing the heat killer has came within the top 5, will link you when I get home.
Sadly it does very well with IX but not MX2. To big to post http://i.imgur.com/tZ5LJgl.png

what was the difference in temps between MX2 / IX, I assume it was maybe a few degrees so nothing really dreadfull, I have got a boat load of MX2 kicking around so would be using that as the TIM.
