Giving up caffeine

try green tea...or soy bean tea (i think)..well there both suppose to be hot..

leave to cool

drinking green tea helps relax
soy bean milk helps.....well..you eat it once its cool and solidy... :D

Better stop drinking milk as that's full of aspartic acid too (which is what aspartame breaks down into). All those sports supplements selling it too - won't someone PLEASE think of the children!?

Cutting it out myself. Haven't touched any since Saturday night and last night I had the best sleep I've had in a long time. No headaches or anything yet, and I don't feel as tired as I normally do during the day.

It's easy. It's called self control.

This really. I cut out most caffeine from my diet years ago, I occasionally drink it in soft drinks, tea etc but never on a regular daily basis. I drink tea, but only decaffeinated at home & at work.

To improve my general well-being, I am now also making a conscious effort to reduce the amount of sugar in my diet too. On my old diet, my typical bowl of breakfast cereal was almost 50% of my recommended RDA of sugar  I haven't gone cold turkey and I'm still eating carbs, just avoiding anything with added sugar (chocolate bars, sweets, puddings) until my addiction / cravings are gone.

I'm about 8 days in now and already feel much better, less lethargic during the day, sleeping better.
