I have a 7950 & 7970 both running 1100/1600 which is the max of my 7950 and I cannot tell them apart in game at either 1080p or 1440p.
I woudn't expect you to be able to really. I'm sure the same goes for the 670+680. A small percentage up to 5-10% in most games is not going to be noticeable I'd imagine.
My reference to greg and the quote was in the same said post.
I'm wrong in a sense that i can't prove that 7970 CrossFire can play titles better than a 2GB card on a smaller memory bus, then again my proof counts as nothing.
Dig out posts if you like, I'm in agreement that user data is the best bet but there was no BM thread in April/May so all there is to go on is review data-which has been posted and obviously ignored by some.

What data did you use to purchase your 680?
.I/others don't see a problem with the methology, only yourself.
@matt, there is no chance my lazy 7950 is going in the BM thread, rusty would fall about laughing if I did due to it's poor results.![]()

we could run 1125/1575.
Ha ha is it a stinker?

I hope the mods don't come in and brandish the delete button as Rusty and myself kept it all civil and had an admitedly pedantic gentleman's debate, that's all it was.

I'm happy to help with regard to benching a 7950 if this helps the cause?
My max clocks I can reach are 1240/1580 (gigabyte wf3) but could maybe go a little higher haven't really pushed any further.
So we could bench at the clocks u mentioned earlier what did u want to use?
