MSI Afterburner 3.0.0 Beta 5 Download

I know that lol, this was aimed at the 2.35v thing. I think that picture I posted was created for the 4 series nvidia cards with the reports that they were setting on fire, mainly the 470 and 480.

Me and Gregster have had these Lightnings at crazy volts running above 1400Mhz using ArtMoney, it was just me having a laugh and that picture just really fits :D.

Yeah, still the same 1.3v cap, but, I seem to have been able to get an extra 50MHz (1250) on the core before the vdroop is too much, even with it set at 1.3

It might not be anything to do with Afterburner, but I was trying all day yesterday to get above 1200 stable, and managed it as soon as I changed to AB 3.0.0B5

How much is slightly more? I presume the 7950's have a 1.3v cap too? Or did in this case.

I've notice similar I can get approx. 40MHz more for the same voltage (7970's) using the new AB Beta

Very interesting indeed. Alright guys please don't inform betsy, locky, stoner dude or proto about this version of afterburner. No more bumping the thread please, let it die. Thanks.

Too late :D

but can't get the darn thing to load :(

Normally the max i can go is 1125 before i need to add voltage. Will try running at 1172 at stock voltage. See if im getting any more speed for my volts.

Will do.

Just crashed. :D

I will run my 24/7 overclock of 1172/1563 @1.137 but knock it down two voltage notches so 1.125.

Crashed. :D

One last try at 1.131 before i head back to my previous stable overclock. Maybe this lower voltage malarkey is just a placebo.

I'm definitely seeing higher temps. 4c higher on the vrms with 1 voltage notch lower than previous.

Yes I'm using the BE, as to second point; doing that dose allow you to open it but at the expense of losing ALL voltage control, I'll stick to 2.3.1..

Ah was just an idea, as if you do the reverse (delete the MSI.oem file) on a reference GHZ card it can unlock voltage control.

Perhaps more effective power delivery? Would explain the better clocks at the same voltage AND the higher VRM temps?
