So I tinkered my first squad a little:

I also changed my second squad as I fancied a little bit of a change. I do plan on swapping Verm for Kompany and N'Zog for Bale but at the minute this is a bit different for me and does give a change from the *cough* pace abuse *cough* style of play I prefer.

You could say that about most if not all TOTY players tbh. I've tried most of them.

TOTY Ronaldo was only fun due to the amount of abuse you got.

As for those players in a 5 at the back formation is utterly pointless.

you could build a team equally as effective for 50k maximum

The wide players stay wider I believe, that's about it. Probably more effective against formations like 3-5-2 where there is more space on the wings.

433 the wingers are ridiculously wide. As a result, both they and the striker are ridiculously isolated from everyone else. 4321 is really narrow but at least the players can actually pass to each other.

It's not though is it really, Diva and Tim have both had much more expensive teams with me. What really annoys me is anytime I discuss my team or the formation I play I just get rolled eyes and sarcastic comments. How is it a tragic waste of coins when a team in a different formation that would cost just as much would bring me no joy at all.

As long as you don't play on Ultra D I don't see a problem with it .

I played a guy who was 5221 and he played on balanced and he was all over me at times in my defending third.

.... and since I've brought Iniesta in it's kind of felt a bit pants. I know he's on 7 chem but the whole team seems to be dismantling itself from within . I know it's not the formation as my BPL team is 442 and plays well.

I like having Busquets in for his breaking up of the play but I'm wondering if it's time to sacrifice the dirty dog and get somebody better in. Had Fabregas before I had Iniesta but thinking the two of them wouldn't give me much, if any, cover in CM.

Edit (2): got 200k coins but would rather not spend Iniesta levels again! Thinking Xabi Alonso?

Personally just never got on with 442 with any league other than the PL, no one else has the fast box to box wingers in Valencia and Bale, strong box to box midfielders that can stlill play football in Yaya, Tiote, Fellaini etc. and quick, good yet affordable full backs.

4321 is basically 3 forwards and you want a left footed RF with good finesse shots like Sturridge (Chelsea) and a right footed LF with good finesse shots like Lavezzi.

in 433 you have 2 wingers and a target man, so you want the fastest left footer on the left like Bale and the fastest right footer on the right like Navas and just keep on throwing in crosses to somebody either very tall with good heading (adeybayor/dzeko), or somebody really fast (muriel/chicarito)
