Hey all,

I'm about to go on a trip to the places in the title and trying to find a few more things to do in each of them as we're struggling to fill out our time their. I reckon quite a few on the forum have been to some of these? So far I've got the following;

Kiev (4 Days)

Climb the Rodina Mat
UFO building
Fleamarkets
Dinner at Spotykach
Visit the fancier metro stations
Cave monastery

Minsk (1 day)

Independence square
Lee Harvey Oswalds flat
Tickets to the opera
Visit Mound of Glory
Fancy metro stations
Ice skating outside parliament
KGB building

Riga (4 days)

Old town
Markets
Bobsled run in Sigulda (spend some time in the town as well)
Shooting range with hand grenades
Go up the TV tower

I think it's mostly Riga that has a lot of down time, any advice on things to do would be really appreciated :)

Hi Mickey
Looks like a good plan but you do realize that it is a bitter winter in Belarus/Kiev now and you may need to factor that in your planned activities..
Are you traveling by train in between Countries as these are not the most reliable either at this time of year.. for further information i would suggest the http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g294474-i3663-Kiev.html and http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g294448-i5626-Minsk.html

Did the trip 3 weeks ago, it was fairly warm in end (only got to -10 Celsius) and the trains were reliable.

Cheers for the advice anyway! :)

Got any pics you're willing to share? (Preferably the ones with fit local talent in the background please)

Haha I can put a few more up tonight but so far I've done a blogpost on the Bobsled;

And here's a couple of pics from Chernobyl;
