AMD / Nvidia 2012 driver reviews

Doesn't go into the depth I'd have liked - seems mostly based around a limited selection of benchmarks and seems to gloss over quite a few issues nVidia had i.e. stuttering and 1-2 games where they completely dropped the ball and to a lesser extent glosses some of the power management and texture corruption issues on the AMD front and also omits some of the significant improvements AMD (beyond just putting out some better drivers recently) have made in the last few months - tho lead times on the article might have meant they were too late to include.

Fair play to you Rroff. :)

That's H though i never listen to a word they say.

According to them, BF3 @57fps is close to playable and once they got the 12.11 drivers, they got 60-64fps which provided the first and only playable experience...

Gtfo...

They talk out of their bottoms on almost everything concerning AMD.

While I agree with the article(s) in the general sense - I believe nVidia has typically more timely updates and better track record for actually fixing things and even if you pick both articles apart that IMO still stands - but even for my tastes theres a heavy nVidia slant to it - I didn't see any mention of the nVidia beta drivers that were problematic whilest picking up on the AMD RC/betas that were. Didn't see a mention of the security issue (even tho its a very small issue) in some of the nVidia drivers which atleast would bear mentioning if you were being objective.

The only obseravtion I have about the state of the current AMD drivers which the article did enphasises, is that AMD drivers seem to be in a constant Beta state, where are the WHQL drivers??
