Thanks for all the advice so far; decided on this spec, pretty much now:

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 1
Intel Core i5-3570k 3.4ghz 1
Samsung 256GB SSD 840 Pro 1
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 1
Corsair Builder Series cx750 Modular '80 plus Bronze Power Supply 1
Toshiba (7K1000.D) 1TB Sata 1
BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming case - black 1
Saitek Cyborg V5 Illuminated gaming keyboard 1
GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB DDR3 1
Cooler Master Hyper 612s CPU Cooler 1
Logitech G400 3600DPI Gaming Mouse 1
Samsung SH-224BB/BEBE 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM 1

Subtotal £1,156.81
£964.01 ex VAT

This leaves me with 500~ for two monitors, one for the PC (used for gaming mainly) and another for the consoles (Xbox mainly)

I'm looking mainly at this one:
Benq XL2411T 24" TRUE 120Hz 3D Vision 2.0 Widescreen LED Monitor - Black/Red
(http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-070-BQ)

What's the thoughts on this?

Would take the total to:

Subtotal £1,636.79
£1,363.99 ex VAT

Would liek to roder this tomorrow, providing everything is still in stock and I haven't dropped any silly mistakes!!

Thanks again :)

Is it a typo or is that a non-K version of the 3570? for the extra 17 quid i would get the K version especially with the after market cooler you have in the basket. other than that it looks like a really good rig.
The monitor will be great for gaming and with a bit of calibrating will have better colors for watching video on it too.

If that is not a 3570 "k", make it one.

Ditch that PSU, I have seen too many compaints about corsair PSU's

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX Pro Series 750W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £84.98
1 x XFX Pro Series 650W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £74.99
Total : £171.97 (includes shipping : £10.00).

AMD cards tend to have a pretty low power load, 650 should be enough unless you are wanting to Xfire later, then a 750 would give you more head room.

It is a K version, sorry don't have access to the plug in whilst I'm at work!

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail

noted about the PSU, I'll pick up an xfx one insterad - Thanks :)

If you want to use the 3D function on those monitors then an Nvidia card would be a be a better choice. Although I would guess that you would be a be to display in 3D using a 7970 it may be a more troublesome set up process.

I'm not massively concerned around 3D, but thought it might be better to get it, just in case. it was mroe the 120HZ which drew me to it.

Any experience of the monitor?

Do you plan on running 2 graphics cards anytime in the future ? If so you would want a better motherboard such as the Gigabyte Z77X-D3H and at least a 750W psu.

Not anytime in the future, but perhaps if I need a little upgrade in a year or so; I thought the Z77-D3H did cross fire though?

Thanks Stulid; Would you say it's worth getting a higher PSU just in case in the future I do go for another gfx card? :)

The Z77-D3H is best for a single GFX card (it doesn't support SLI for one) it does do Crossfire but this is at 16X for the top slot and 4X for the other.

This means the two cards get a differing bandwidth.

Better boards (Z77X-D3H as an example) do both SLI+crossfire at 8X/8X (or 16X/16X if you wish to spend huge money) so both cards get an equal slice. Then with a board such as that if you do want Crossfire then certainly do look at a stronger 750W PSU.

Cheers for that Stulid, appreciate it.

I'll head down the Z77X-D3H route, it's probably worth spending the extra £50 on on the motherboard + PSU, just in case;

I presume this is the equivilent board? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-390-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2261

The PSU I've specced up: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-013-XF Should be a reasonable one to include future expansion correcT? Obviously at the moment I'll only be running a single card, with a couple of HDD's hanging of it so it won't be under any stress. But it's pretty closely priced to the Silverstone you have suggested and only £15 more than the lowest price one you suggested.

Any thoughts on the monitor? :)

Could you paste the name in please - For some reason (I'm at work doing overtime) it's classified it as the following:

"has been blocked by the Web Gateway Real-Time Classifier. The page was classified as sexual, erotic or adult content (75% probability overall) which is not allowed by your administrator at this time. "

NSFW PSU?! :p

He's busy looking at the SSD install thread, he means this PSU,

XFX 750W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply @ £89.99 (on weekly special offer so ends tomorrow)

Ah, the 'XXX' within the name would have thrown the filter then I guess! Lovely. For the extra £5, is it worth it? :)
