Guys,
I had to recently return two 7950 MSI TFIII OC/V2 graphics cards as one was faulty and the shop I bought from in the UK no longer had any of the same cards in stock.

Anyhow I changed my mind and have decided to go for two 7970's instead. I have had a good browse through these forums and still cant seem to make my mind up on which brand to go for.

I will be wanting eventually to Watercool the 7970's and of course to overclock them. I would prefer the voltage to be unlocked too.

I am not particularly bothered about the stock HSF as it will be removed eventually any road.

Any tips are more than welcome :D

Due to a shortage of the cards mentioned i need all of my minions to stop recommending this card until further notice. Thanks.

Alternatively the vtx3d x edition is reference and the stock cooler is way better. If you arent going under water immediately you may be glad of that!

I had same decision to make and went with the vtx3d over the msi for that reason. However if u plan to go underwater quickly the msi is a no brainer.

Who makes the VTX3D by the way?

I installed a msi 7970 oc yesterday and mines not a very good overclocker even with 1.22 v
i can only get 1145 on the core memory left alone it keeps black screening in unigine valley benchmark. but i'm happy with it i can max out in ccc and its not to noisy

Definitely not :)

The MSI should be back in stock in a few days or so according to OcUK.
Also, if you buy it from here you won't risk voiding the warranty by removing the cooler. Nice eh? :)

Hang on, I've just seen your sig. Did you just buy them anyway?
