Dear Google, thanks for ruining my phone...

Sorry but I must have a quick rant about this!

My Sony Xperia T "updated" to Jelly Bean about a week ago and as far as I can tell there are zero improvements and a multitude of problems!

My phone now has an atrocious battery life, numerous little "niggles" that make the use more fiddly and worse of all for me, the in-ear bluetooth volume is so low, with no apparent way to increase it, that it has rendered any calls useless!

Is there any way I can "roll back" to ICS or is that pretty much it??

Nothing to do with Google. Thank Sony.

You should be able to roll back, just flash a custom ROM that's still on ICS.

Nothing to do with Google, their AOSP Jelly Bean is a very good improvement on ICS, everything you don't like is down to Sony molesting it.

Came in to say exactly this.

Jelly Bean ran perfectly even on my old Nexus S - if your phone can't run it properly then thank Sony. The fact that it has only just updated itself shows how long they've been fiddling with it - it's been out since Novemeber

Sorry, I didn't realise this was all Sony's doing to be honest!

I'll try a factory reset first and then look into flashing a custom rom because it's pretty much unusable in it's current condition!

I'm assuming you need to be rooted for this sort of thing? I dabbled with my old HTC Desire but wouldn't know where to start with the Xperia!

JB on my HOS had odd battery drain to begin with, performed a reset and it's been great since

definitely sony buggering up other stuff tho :p

Every time you flash a new rom the battery will be poor, takes a few days to sort it's self out, wiping the cache may help and a factory reset. Can't comment on other issues. Anyway naughty Sony you

I have only just got my X T and it came with ICS i updated it the same night so couldnt tell what battery life was like prior, but i unplug my phone at 07:30 and reconnect it at 1am yesterday, thats will wifi always on, gmail sync, and plume checking every 15mins.

I have downloaded the Quallcomm battery guru app which learns your use and helps to improve it, but its still learning.

Tbh im very happy, its a fantastic phone.

I'm happily getting 2 days of light use out of mine, seems fine really. I don't do much intensive though and have it plugged in when using satnav. Switching off all my battery apps improved things a lot :p

Also try disabling Google Now if you don't use it.
I found it made a big difference to the battery on my HTC One X.

Can anyone recommend a decent "contacts" widget for my home screen? I've been using the "Top Contacts" widget that you get on the Xperia phones but I can't seem to use it if I use Nova launcher!?!?!
