Microsoft Direct 3D update

Your post had me worried. I downloaded this DPC latency checker tool. Should i be worried with these results? More importantly, what does it mean?

Dpc latency checker don't work for windows 8.you need to use latencymon
If you don't have issues with audio and video I wouldn't bother looking into it. Dpc is how long a driver interrupts the Cpu if you have high latency from say usbport. Sys like I did you get issues with anything Usb etc.

That's great but 1min isn't enough. Leave it running while you play music, game and video etc.

Not as far as im aware shankly. I don't have battlefield 3 installed any more im afraid.

this update is simply a pre-requisite for installing IE10 on windows 7.

I will run this more later when i play a game or something. Just sat through a couple of minutes of Unigine Heaven and it seemed ok.

Looking good, I will try windows 8 again at a later date when drivers get better etc. Most of the drivers I was using were windows 8 betas.

Call it a coincidence but I've just done the direct 3d update & for the first time ever Punkbuster keeps kicking me from BF3 MP with the following..

"Multiple Direct3D loaded-A"

Unless there's a solution..guess I'll be restoring before the D-3d update

BF3 has been fine for me since updating, I'll scour the web for you to see if I can find a fix.

Cheers Suarez7....been trying to do the same...also rolled back my restore point to before the update & am still getting the same prob....would call it that coincidence but getting direct 3d kick right after updating direct 3d?...wierd. Wonder if it has anything to do with oc-guru running in the background for my oc'd 670 at the time of update....yep another clutching at straws :\

What programs are you running whilst you run BF3? Also do you have any FXAA injectors or anything to make BF3 look better installed?

You could try manually updating punkbuster and doing a clean install of your NVidia drivers again. That's what I'd do first anyway.

Only have oc-guru running to oc' g-card. Not caused a prob before d-3d update. Already ran the pb file within bf3 folder which checked for versions etc..Current drivers ran ok with bf3....direct 3d kick only started after direct 3d update...might have to try & reinstall drivers but will leave that for another day....bed calls & early start...cheers for time Suarez7

this is indeed 11.1 for 7. not sure about the discrepancy in dates but the kb number is the same

nah, they backtracked and admitted some of 11.1 would work on 7. like i said before it is "cut down", but at least it's better than nothing! not sure what took them this long though. the news came out several months ago
