You should have waited for the M500!

1. I always told myself I'd buy a 500Gb+ SSD when they dropped under £250. So I did.
2. 500Mb read/250Mb write is quick enough.
3. The M4 is a mature prioduct that's known to be reliable and works well with Mac OS X. I don't fancy beta testing the firmware on a product that's not shipping yet.

"got a mac mini"

I already have a Mac Mini (2009).

So bright.

Not sure 3D is much use, but built in netflix and iplayer is nice.

And the Mini needed some new lights....

Should make my MacBook Pro fly. :D
Recently been getting my hack pro running again. For good measures I made a clone of my SSD for 1. Testing optimisations before putting them on my SSD in case of kernel panics and 2. For a genreal backup.

Not going to lie half the time is spent booting and logging in. Not sure what I would do if I had to go back to a HDD, I just don't remember it ever being that slow xD

COMPETITOR!!! i recognize that packaging :p
Not going to lie while I love the community and amazing support from OCuK, they never seem to be the cheapest option these days. Normally it's by a very small amount and they will still be my choice personally but when it comes to orders for clients/friends they would rather the cheaper price over my personal recommendations :/

Didn't bother with a clean install, took a time machine backup and restored it via Internet Recovery.

Boots to the desktop in under 15 seconds from the chime where it took nearly a minute before (not that I got turned off very often). Everything loads much more quickly and VMs are lightning quick.

One thing to make sure you do is enable trim in OS x. Natively it only works by default on Apple branded SSD's. This little nifty program will enable it for you called TrimEnabler :)
