Nope.
Is this how you do it:
Add up the digits of the number given, take it modulo 9 and then 9 minus that number is the secret number. It only works if the number is a multiple of 9

OK guys, I think enough people have had a go so here is the secret explained [well done arctine]...
Start from 3:25 (he just offers to do the same trick over Twitter before that)
...The Maths professor at the end explains about the 0 vs 9 situation (hence why I asked you not to pick 0. If you're doing it face to face you can and just as if the number's "odd" in that situation".
