Communist themed fancy dress

Go as Chairman meow! Well that's my plan for the upcoming mcm expo... just need to find some time to get the items xD

Various reasons. The base principles of communism are not evil, and fairly noble (if ultimately rather idealist). Nazism was the demonisation of several races as a scapegoat for the economic state of a country.

The majority of the deaths from the Nazi's were the result of genocide of an industrial scale. Most of the deaths from communism were a result famine triggered by poor economic decisions. i.e.;

Mao;

Redirecting work force away from agriculture and towards a fake industrial revolution triggered food shortages and famine.

Kim il-Sung;

Over dependence on subsidized food/oil imports from Soviet Union (which then collapsed) and the construction of the Nampho dam flooding prime arable land triggered a famine (Also poor investment in infrastructure preventing distribution of food from areas with surplus food).


Not trying to be an Communism apologist but I don't think they were on the same level as the Nazi's (Except for the Khmer Rouge they were as bad in my books).
