Does this look odd to anyone else?

At the front we have a 4.3 V8 but it still seems a bit far back...

I'm sure it's probably fine but yes it looks odd.

I would have expected the upright to have been just forward of the front door handles

given the weight would be mostly at the front im not surprised the posts are by the A-Posts.

If it were at the B posts youd struggle to open the doors

front axle has most weight. So surely you would want the posts to be close as possible to the front axle no?

Who puts a lift under a ceiling like that? Can't lift an estate or a van on that thing, useful++

What sort of van would you plan on lifting with a 2.5ton lift?

In addition the bit of the building with the lift in looks quite tall, so what if it can't open the door.

So run the height problem past me again?

Looks like the roofline past that lintel goes up to a much higher room.

In addition given the roofline of an estate car is just extended backwards not upwards I don't understand that comment either.

That's hard to say from a photograph taken at that angle, you can swing the lift points forward to bring the car away from the back of the workshop, perhaps they don't work on vans......
