I wondered how the sale prices were calculated, if it was a simple case of the publisher giving these prices to MS or if MS had any input

In that case lets hope Valve are extra generous when pricing The Orange Box

It'll be a joint decision. There's no way that the publishers have sole influence over pricing; it's MS's online store, after all.

RE 6 for £8.99, I'm tempted. Has anyone played it?

Apparently it's a bit rubbish and quite broken(cut scenes starting during a QTE event so you die ) but i've bought it anyway. Can't go wrong at £9!

Its the best Resident Evil since number 2. Each campaign is so big it qualifys as a game on its own. 9/10. I played this and Res 4 for the first time in a very short period of time and can say they are very very similar games, so why one is so much more beloved is beyond me .

Edit; 5 on the other hand really is pants and rather bland.

Dead island £8.99
Fall out NV £8.99
Portal 2 £8.99
Red Dead Redemption £8.99
Dishonored £24.99

Some of the £8.99 games aren't too bad price wise but the newer games are too high.

Yeah that's a shame about Dishonoured. I can get a boxed new copy for 20 pounds from my local games shop.

I've been buying in points. Just press "x" on the purchase screen to convert to points .

Its not part of this sale but Batman Arkham Asylm appears to be 2.69 or 320 msp at the moment if you search for it on the dash.
