Lost Settings - Ultima Viper" Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz DDR3 System

Hi,

I recently had to swap out one of my HDD's but discovered my wonderful ex (:rolleyes:) had put a password on my BIOS! Therefore I had to press the CMOS reset switch.

As a result I have lost my overclock settings. I contacted OC and they suggested I post here.

Can any of you help please?

you need to post your default cpu voltage when you set cpu v to normal in the bios and qpi/vtt voltage

then i can help you with settings

Unfortunately I cannot find half the things shown above in my mobos cmos settings. Is it for a different mobo?
 
It's probably best to carry out the overclocking process rather than attempting to guess the original profile settings. I found this guide to be the most helpful:

If your chip is a D0 you can most likely leave everything at default and just change the bclk to 200, multiplier to 20, disable turbo + eist + c-states, and increase the qpi/vtt and core voltages until stable. Then you can probably test stability with eist and c-states on.

If your still having problems I have one of these systems. Ocuk saved the o/c profile to one of the bios profiles as I had to enable mine when I received it. Can check my settings any time if you need.

Have you checked in your bios to see if the original ocuk profile is still present ? I will check my bios settings and post them for you.I have some photos of my bios I could email if it would help. Would post them but never have any luck with images and the forum.

From the main bios screen press F12 this will load the cmos from bios, there are 8 profile slots. My ocuk profile was 1. As for passwords these can be removed by pressing enter on the password item and pressing enter again, should then get message saying password disabled.

pic 2 shows when I had a faulty stick of ram hence the missing timings. Hope these help let me know if you need more info.
