I've got the same kettle and toaster too but in the cream colour as of just before crimbo, but I cannot get to grips with the number settings on the toaster at all. They're just crap.

Number 1 is like the same as number 2 but anything from 2.5 up and I've got charcoal. Perhaps its faulty...

Considering it is supposed to be a luxury(ish) brand, I don't think it's any better than a £15 effort, in function. For the record, anything above 2.5 is charcoal for me too.

150W PSU, so anything up to that depending on hardware (extra disks etc), so not very much!
