How good is O2 around central London right now?

Because I am on Vodafone and data connections are dreadful, I have full bars and H+ showing up but there is a significant delay before getting any data (if any).

I am pretty sure this is down to capacity and population density.

dunno but orange/tmobile is no better around paddington.

Sounds fairly similar to how it is on O2, it's slow and tedious loading web pages and very intermittent if you try to stream music. I switched to 3 around Christmas and it's been working pretty well so far (although I am now going into London less).

have tried all three big networks within the last few months and can safely say they are all as bad as each other in waterloo and livepool st areas. no idea how 3 performs

Damn, I work over in Shoreditch near Old Street and it is just dreadful on Vodafone. 3 I have as the sim in my laptop, on the train it is fantastic compared to my mobile for having a good data signal.

3 is poor around Liverpool Street, though better than Vodafone. Hopefully 4G will fix things.

I seem to recall a survey that admittedly is a bit obsolete now, that had Vodafone as the best provider for central London for mobile data speeds. Is there anything a little more recent? I was on Orange/Tmobile which was marginally better on my route to work than Vodafone, but to be honest they all seem as bad as each other now.

ee is orange/tmobile.. its funny how they go about 4g and all that yet their 3g/h speeds are lolworthy..

I have an 02 and three sim and work in Baker street. O2 speeds are good for me around 10mb/s and in general my data speeds around london are good. However data caps of 1gb render it useless for my usage and so I have a three 'one plan' sim which gets around 12-15mb/s in baker street and has no caps.

I find the complete opposite, I can never seem to get a good signal with Three (iPad) around Liverpool street. However, Vodafone (L920) is fine for me. :confused:
