Hell!! \m/
Ok. First off I park my car on the drive way however I HIT a kurb and with the camber, etc its a bit of a bash. Usually reversing off I turn slightly so its angled or I hear a bang. Normally nothing mad butI had 3 people in the car and some things and it went BANG as I SLOWLY went off the kurb. Car was stuck, after looking the borebox?? I think? it's not the exhast but the big box was in contact with the kurb after unloading and people out tbere was space I reversed as the gear box seemed messed. I AN NOT INSURED ATM but I went down the road and back, I got the car back up. The car was really slow and laggy - I hoped nothing was perm'ed.

So today after giving us some space. I wanted to just repeat last nights episode. The car seems a lot better its just going into first feels like third you need to push it more - so gearbox may of been affected. The clutch seems higher. Driving seems ok but since it's not insured I aint tried proper roads which is what I am sorting.

Another thing is my VED (what some *mostly cyclist-haters* call road tax) just ran out and right now

the car I left half on the path/road - I can't do this as my VED is expired right? Does insurance count if its not drivin? Either way I can put it up the path as I don't use it bar letting it run and cleaning it.

What I want is a ramp thats long and lets me drive up and off the kurb or any tips? I used to have 2 cracking bricks, nice and grey, quite big - had them for my last car then stash out of sight. Sadly they were stolen. I want summit that isnt perm as I think I have to pay a £1200 licence fee

Bah, I lost aload of my insurance bit by going back with dam guestures on this laptop.! Will edit it more later

So anyway....... £1.7k is my best quote it tends to come from Admiral and Elephant.

I'll stick details I have now

FIESTA FINESSE 1999 1.3L
VALUE £995 I paid
All the bussiness is normal, right hand drive, non import, no mods.
I own it and I was born in 1989 and male *checks* ohh yeah. Giggity
The car we bought actually I think in November 2012
Right now I am out of work. This seems to sadly really affect my NCB. I've done Volentary work - that I think counts however I aint workin' at vol right now.
Singe lad, well techically miss palm and her 4-5 daughters can count (less stressful life more chilled out less likely to make a bump)
No claims or convictions, 5 years UK licence
1 car at the house no kids of my own and I have 1NCB
OK I WONT OBV give my real deets but a random number at L243UX (hope that works think it's roughly similer to ours)

Now I am really sick to death of scumbags robbin stuff here I wanna knock one over (seriously) ONE thing getting in the way of me blowing out on some security is INSURANCE!!!!!!!! for some reason the more I spend on GPS stuff and locks the MORE it costs to insure? I cannot undestand that? it's non-viable and ONCE stolen can be used to track back rather than it get burnt out (this is 3rd P+T+F). Now my car isn't fitted with an immob/alarm (I don't think) but I have what I think is an aftermarket one? it's a plastic fob you stick under by the gearbox and indicators flash on and you still have to lock ALL doors but touch it or someone tries to get in the alarm goes off and better if someone has the key the engine wont turn over unless you know how to disarm it but do I declare this to the insurance or not?

I wanted to go out on one, buy a red light that flashes and drill it through. I wanted to install s tracking system (maybe one direct to the cars comp or summit fancy so I get a notifcation on my phone * BTW I've an ANDROID SG S3*. I need a new steering lock as mine is from my 106 and it touches the horn. I really wanna goto school on this one guys.

Ok will be getting some more quotes

Dammit I lost CONFUSED.com page. I was gunna go through GO COMPARE, COMPARE THE MARKET (wanna freee meerkat! :D)

I AM TYPING MORE just before I typed this out all my CHROMES closed.
GAH LOST MORE!

what car and how low is it ?

even lowered cars can usually negotiate a kurb ?

Ford FIESTA FINESSE 1999 1.3L

I know man. To be honest I had the underside on my last car messed up and thinking back thats why probably. The gear box fully went on that. Like £400 I had to pay, this car I've loooked after and be damned if the kurbs are messin' it up on me.

\my mum noticed that when some peope drive out their driveway they do it and then in the road load and people get in. She wondered why and I guess now we know.

The unemployed bit will hit you hard but it shouldn't be that high (I think). Remember to add on any older adults you live with as additional drivers.

edit:

Also if chrome keeps crashing, use an word processing app (save regularly) and copy and paste once you are done. Then you won't keep losing stuff.

Why did you have 3 people in the car if you aren't insured?

Also comparethemarket seemed to have higher quotes returned than confused.com moneysupermarket etc etc.

This, and I don't actually see any questions in your rambling post?

So, driving uninsured, untaxed and illegally across the public footpaths? Anything else you'd care to add?

I'm sure telling your insurance company you are a ****** really helps drive down your quotes.

I'm bit going to comment on how silly you sound however get some wood and place it next the curb, so the drop isn't so great. Ie wood half the depth of the curb.
