I just notice one of my GTX 580 temperatures is at 98c while playing crysis 3..

That most be very close to the temperature were the card auto downclocks..

Have they got some dust on them and good airflow? Or is it just crysis 3. My gt610 went off the scale on msi afterburner while running 3dmark fire strike (103 degrees C). There isn't any airflow in the bottom of my case though normally gets to 93degrees on crysis 2.

Am going use my air compressor to blow any dust off after work today (It was to late & dark to do it last night)
I Think Crysis 3 is one the only games that i can think off that makes my system draw 700watts

I only have my GTX 580's clocked at 800mhz (stock is 772mhz if i remember right) they can do 900mhz without lockups with fanspeed set to full..

wow, that is very high temp dude, max i get is 74C.

try to clear dust or get a better case.

MSI Afterburner, set up a fan control profile. Can't recommend this enough.

My 680 doesn't go over 67 at max load.

Definitely agree with using MSI Afterburner with a fan profile. My 480GTX which is supposedly a real heat demon runs at an easy 75C.

I would think at 98C you are close to doing damage to your card, something is seriously wrong somewhere m8.

My gtx 480 would hit 90c in intense games, I would stick a fan at the back of the cards (near the pci-e power) to help with cooling.
