Hi

Some one owes me money and best way I thought of was VIA PayPal.

Now none of us want to get fees for sending or recieving so am I right in thinking if the sender does it as a gift thats the best way?

If they do it as a gift will the funds be in PayPal right away and cleared so to speak so I can then use it?

Thanks

Gifts do incur frees, the reason we use it on places like here is you can choose who pays it.
It's only free if the money is allready in the PayPal account and thus fees have allready been paid at least once.

It's free if the person sending the gift makes the payment to paypal from their linked bank account.

There's a charge if you fund the transaction with a debit or credit card.

As far as I was aware, if you are sending somebody money as a gift the sender pays the fees. The person receiving the gift doesnt pay anything.
