Canon Ixus 115 HS lens problem

Its my girls camera that I bought her about a year ago. For some unknown reason e.g. she has dropped it, the camera lens won't come out. I have googled away with no avail. Any idea? No error code, just a blank screen.

Almost certainly broken hardware wise, these extending lens mechanisms are quite fragile. might be worth a quote for a repair but will almost certianly be more than the camera is worth.

If it's under a year old then you should be able to get it repaired on replaced without any hassle.

If you've had it more then a year then take it back anyway, you might well get lucky.

I am sure its just over a year old. I wouldn't even have a clue where to get it fixed.
