Had a ride in the F Type V8 today

Looks a little disappointing in the photos. The shots I saw when it was first announced looked awesome :(

Would look 100 times better without all the black bits on it.

That's because on those shots it had a roof ...

Just like the XK, the F-Type looks much worse without a roof.

Reckon waxed up, in the sun with Kelly Brooke and me sitting in it, would look just sweet. Looks good, not really followed the F Type tbh...

You could be on to something there. Don't get me wrong it is still a looker I just think they went a little too... fussy, with the styling details.

+1 on the rear being iffy.

Front looks great, rear is too angular. That flat boot line isn't great. Mind, the Harry video on the Evo youtube channel where he got a ride in both... Wow. Sounds great.

Any idea of the kerbweight of it?

So how's the steering and visibility then ? ****poor judging by the parking in the photo ;)

Agree with the comment above, front is nice, back is a bit of a minger.

Pictures dont work on this car.

The back is the best bit!

Its someone from Sales hence the poor parking ;)

Love love love this. It's a shame that the price is considerably more than it was rumoured to be. Part of me was hoping this might be boxster money.

My next car decision has now become more complex!

Thing is, Jaguar have never really been an exotic car brand.

So used ones will become affordable eventually as happens with BMWs, Mercedes, other Jaguars etc..

What? Of course its not - the SL is a folding metal hard top fitted waftable GT car. The F Type is nothing of the sort!
It is more GT than sports car for sure. I'm not sure the roof mechanism makes much difference.
