*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

Shows a few cool things:

- Lanes/lattice. If TR in that picture choose to push out those 4 lanes are their routes to go. If they chose to and manage to cap Copper Ravine Station, their only new base open to cap is then Arroyo Torre Station, there would be no adjacency to anything else.

- Large bases are now gateways. Those lanes all converge on Tawrich (and no doubt Rashnu to the North). Which means defending it straight away would be huge. VS pushing from the West would HAVE to cap Tawrich to progress along those lanes towards the Warpgate, or would have to head North->East->South to get towards the same lanes from another angle.

- Tawrich itself is no longer capable by having the adjacency of bases around it. You now have to capture at least one of it's satellite camps to begin your assault on the main base. Will change the way large base fights go considerably.

I had some awesome battles today at Esmair. NC was capping up to our Warpgate. There was so much NC vehicles trying to cross the iced up Riverbed to the Frostbite Harbor and traveling along the road to our Warpgate it made easy pickings for our Mossies and god help them, there was Mossy galore all over the skies reaping the killings.

After crashing into a tower, I switched to my Prowler and joined my squad defending Old Shore Checkpoint outside of Elli Amp Station. We was holding the base pretty well while the NC was further up the road trying to push with a few Lightnings and Sundy's, it was mostly infantry trying to push but our squad was holding them well.

There is a large hill to the south of the Checkpoint and east of the Elli Amp Station, so I climbed up the hill, deployed my Prowler and started to kill the few Lightnings they had, killed them all then turned my fire on the Sundy they had on show that was hidden behind the hill but I could see it's rear.

Blasted that and killed a few infantry, killed a other Lightning and few drop podders, lol at some guy trying to mine me (I have level 4 mineguard) then a other enemy Sundy came up where the old one was, killed that again.

I started to take some fire from further up the hill, so went up further, killed a few more but was forced to retreat to repair after getting rocked spammed.

After repairing, I came back at them (they thought I drove away now) and cleaned them up as they was firing down at my squad, saw a other Sundy and killed that, then saw a enemy Sundy trying to go very wide to out-flank us. I had to return to the Ammo tower to get more Ammo then went in search for it, went really wide myself then came back and setup camp. Killed it quickly while taking a few rockets, I just managed to kill it as they set my tank on fire, I retreated and repaired and came back to clean up the infantry.

My squad pushed onto the Air Tower north of Elli Amp Station and by the time I joined them, the fight was over there as well.

Was a good day and a good battle, had many kills and am pretty sure from my efforts alone that I was the reason we won after killing all their Sundys time after time.

We then pushed on into the map and took The Pit, the Crash Site and theYmir Bio Lab.

Pushed onto the Amp Station in the north which was under NC attack and helped the defenders there, I finally lost my tank there.

Made 150 certs this morning after 3 hours of gameplay.

I decided to test the new Pump-Action shotgun out and I love it after getting some easy kills with it in my trial, I bought it.

It's like a instant win button at anyone within 5 or 7 feet. Body shots are a instant kill, but you do need extended mags for it, that's a must.

Epic battle at Freyr (Esamir) last night on Miller. Between 6-8pm. One of the best fights I've been in.

All three factions involved and just brutal for 2hrs straight.

Interesting observation for anyone with framerate issues - I've never had any at all, except when an area first loads, like with a pod drop.

Today, however, I was getting awful slowdown and stutter while moving across one of the bridges near Crown. It was exactly like the game couldn't cope with the graphics - it got worse as you looked at a busy scene with lots of infantry, smoothed out when you looked out over the bridge.

I had a huge 20gb download going in the background, and as soon as I turned it off, framerate back to normal, no stutter or slowdown at all.

Meh finally decided to to roll a TR on Miller since Woodman is officialy dead until they sort something out.

The battles on Esamir.... wow I forgot what this game was really like lol. Had to rage quit at the amp satation due to 15 fps, shame the game optimization a few patches ago completely destoryed my fps.

Server transfers will be coming soon supposedly so depending on how high your Woodman character is it may be worth holding on a little. My feeling is after the transfers are released they'll end up merging Woodman into Miller anyway, especially when Hossin is released and the population spreads a bit more.

Was on Esamir as NC tonight, some great fights with the TR south of Mani and in the open space between Freyr and Apex Genetics. So many tanks in one place, and not surrounding a base just shelling the crap out of each other on two hills with a plain in between with infantry charging from both sides.

Should have gone NC/Vanu. TR already have a large pop advantage on Miller.

This is true... although I think some of that is 4th empire idiots switching from VS after the magrider nerf. Perhaps they'll go back once the prowler is toned down.

was awesome fun last night, suprised NC did so well to keep TR at bay.

I already have a Vanu on Woodman so I fancied a change and space mericah can do one. Its only until they sort out the Woodman situation hopefully my Vanu char will be on high pop server soon. The sooner the better.

I actually feel guilty using the Trac 5, Mossie and prowler TR is easy mode.

Been playing an alt on Miller for a few hours now, and wow - i'm playing a completely different game here compared to VS on Woodman. Always feels like a chaotic aimless fragfest where there is next to no action anywhere BUT the crown, definitely need a transfer :(

I'm away from home for about 5 weeks which means no gaming on my desktop PC for a while.

I was missing the game last night so logged in on my laptop. I wasn't expecting much, but with settings set to low and 50% render quality, I managed to get 20-30FPS. It looked worse than Quake 1, and was still juddery as hell, but in the hour I was on I managed to tank mine 3 sunderers and a lightning, cap a base and a few towers and fire a dumbfire at some guys face. Not bad!

hey how is people finding this now. i am only battlerank 11 or sumit and now when i play i get Jutteres whn i jump pack ect i am on miller NC and is there a decent outfit i cnt seem to find one lol.
