I haven't had a watercooled system in many years, in fact my last setup had a Maze 3 waterblock on the CPU, a long time ago!

Now people are talking about static air pressure being better than air flow etc and I'm fairly confused......

I've looked in to the Enermax T.B Silent and they seem to be amazing.... Over 70CFM at full speed and around 11Db

But then everyone seems to mention the Scyth Typhoon Gentle 1850rpm

For a 360 Rad which fans are going to give me the best cooling effect and why?
Please can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance

Gentle typhoons are the daddy when it comes to proper radiator fans, Those enermax fans are good, just not as good tbh,

If silence is your thing, get the GT 1450rpms, I have two cooling a radiator on my rig and even at full speed they are whisper quiet.

I'm not after a whisper silent system but screaming fans are a nightmare.

Why are the Gentle Typhoons so good... I mean what makes them the daddy? Stats wise...

Static pressure, Don't think there is another fan on the market that combines both performance and silence in the same package, a few fans come close, but close just isn't near enough :)

Its lies, well, its clever marketing. I used to run Silenx 38mm thick 120mm fans which are rated for 90CFM at 14Db and they were like hurricanes, even at 7v. This is because the thing a lot of people miss out when looking at fan specs, is that those specs are for the fan on its own, no case or rads involved.

When the air is being forced through grills/rads/filters/etc then the airflow itself makes noise and I can tell you 90CFM at 14Db when bolted to a rad is flat out impossible. My 800rpm fans in the top of my case are rated for 10Db and its true they would do that with no computer involved, however as they are pulling air through a low fpi 360 rad and out a 360 grill the noise is audibly greater than 10Db (which is why I run them at 7v as I have the temps overhead to do it).

I have 6 x akasa vipers in push pull on my ex360 rad cooling a 2600k @ 4.5 on 1.3v

They run pwm off the motherboard to vary the speed at idle they run at 620 rpm and about 27 degrees on the cores

Even running flat out in prime 95 blend they keep the 2600k sub 50 degrees at a speed below 900 rpm and are near silent

I recently just changed my noctua fans for some of the Corsair SP120's and they're blasting a decent airflow through my rad without creating a racket, very pleased with them. I ereally like the screw holes that are rubber and not just the plastic housing of the fan :)

either gentle typhoons, corsair sp series, enermax tb silents or noctuas if you not going for looks then go for the typhoons or noctuas.used tb silents and by them self you cant hear them but like ubersonic said have them on a rad or grille their whir.actually the silverstone air penetrators are decent
