50-50, going for the ball, coming together or whatever you want to call it, if the challenge is deemed dangerous then it's still a red. It's a harsh red but you can't sit here and say you've not seen them given (as above, iinm Eboue was sent off for a very similar thing for a challenge on Nani a few years back).

As for the conspiracy stuff, the ref not giving Real a pen and sending off Rafael for the handball doesn't support that.

My opinion was that SAF didnt react quickly enough to the red card, there was no sub to strengthen the team at the back etc. Would be where i place the blame (i do think it was a red card because of the 2nd movement in the kick shown on the replays).

So you are actually stating that the referee has either been bribed or is actively cheating to help Madrid out?

It would be very difficult to prove that. I'm saying the number of mysterious decisions that have gone against English teams in the Champions League is pretty high (Take Van Persie's red against Barca last season for example)
